Paolo graduated from the University of Perugia (Italy) with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Civil protection, focusing on CBRN weapons and international terrorism. At the University of Delaware (USA) he was a PhD candidate at the Joseph Biden Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration where he studied public policy and public administration, with particular reference to emergency management.
Paolo is an affiliated graduate student to the Disaster Research Center, where in the last year he worked as a teaching assistant in the Disaster Recovery and Disaster Response courses. He is also a devoted instructor of Leadership and leadership development with a particular focus on emergency management teams. His research interests include
Paolo spent several years as emergency manager and instructor with his local Italian Red Cross chapter. He is an experienced trainer working with first responders in emergency preparedness and emergency response operations. He was deployed though the Regional Red Cross Chapter to several large events and simulations.
