Mr. Mario Di Gennaro start working as a Paramedic for the German Red Cross in 1989 and is still active. He has more than 25 years professional experience leading and management of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) with expertise covering national and international EMS.
During numerous national and international deployments for the German Red Cross, Mario has held leading functions and is on roster for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) as a member of the Regional Disaster Response Team.
Mario is a German Expert in the EU Civil Protection Mechanism with the highest trainings courses and EU mission experience. For the World Health Organisation (WHO) he coordinates Emergency Medical Teams responding to large health emergencies, currently working for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Middle East training Egyptian Ambulance Organisations and the Jordanian Civil Defence EMS with a focus on Mass Casualty Incident management and planning.
Beside this, Mario works as a highly effective project manager. As an expert, he coordinates two German Research Projects in the field of Security Research for EMS and also reviews proposals for the European Commission Research Executive Agency and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research specialising in core EMS competencies.
